Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra Presents: Romance, Revenge, & Revelry

Greeley, CO [February 14th, 2024] - The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra is delighted to announce its upcoming event, "Romance, Revenge, and Revelry". Enjoy opera hits, as heard throughout your favorite media, enhanced by your stunning Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and joined by the UNC Combined Chorus.

The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Lowell Graham, will showcase its talent and artistry, bringing to life a diverse selection of masterpieces in collaboration with faculty, alumni, and students from the University of Northern Colorado. 

Featuring a program curated to enthrall audiences of all ages, "Romance, Revenge, and Revelry" promises an exploration of the vast emotions that music can evoke. Audiences can expect to be transported by the harmonies of Bizet, swept away by the drama of Verdi, uplifted by the exuberant energy of Mozart, and more.  

The collaboration between the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and GPO provides opportunities that students may not experience elsewhere. Dr. Jill Burgett, Director of Choral Activities at UNC, states “I never get to do opera choruses with our singers, and we get to collaborate with our voice area at UNC. This is a very accessible way to bring opera to our community!” Assistant Professor of Violin & Music Business Dr. Sarah Off follows up with “[it is] great for students to get outside of UNC and experience concertizing in other contexts.”  

Additionally, the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to present Ralph Vaughan Williams' Concerto for Oboe and Strings with principal oboist, Ian Wisekal.

Before the concert, Aunt Helen's Café & Wine Bar will be presenting its second "Sip & Savor" event. Patrons can expect a curated dinner with drinks and dessert to enjoy before attending the concert.
