Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra Appoints Ben Barnhart as Executive Director

The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (GPO) has selected Ben Barnhart as Executive Director. Barnhart served as the acting Executive Director beginning in February 2023 while the Board of Directors conducted an international search. In this role, Barnhart will be responsible for the strategic development and fundraising of the organization.

As Executive Director, Barnhart's ultimate goal is for the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra to provide experiences that allow us to build real, emotional connections and celebrate with one another. "I want to grow an already excellent symphony orchestra into one that is vital to the quality of life in Greeley and Northern Colorado. To do that, we must broaden our reach, engage current and new stakeholders, and continue to build local ownership in our Orchestra, one individual at a time."

Barnhart has an extensive background in fundraising and financial development, having administered capital fundraising campaigns with Larimer Humane Society and Iowa State University. He also served as the Assistant Vice President of Development at the University of Northern Colorado and Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa.

Barnhart is community-oriented and is a volunteer leader in many local business groups, including serving as the President of the Greeley Centennial Satellite Rotary Club and Co-Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassador group.

The GPO's 2023 – 2024 Season is set to be released later this month. More information can be found at their website, www.greeleyphil.org.
