Nicholas Kenny, Executive Director
Nicholas Kenny was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN, where music quickly became his passion. Nick excelled as a trumpeter and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Manchester University before moving to Greeley to pursue his graduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Nick holds a Master of Music Degree in Music Education from UNC and has a successful private trumpet studio in Northern Colorado. As a freelance trumpeter, Nick has performed in a variety of musical ensembles, from brass quintets to the Denver Philharmonic. In addition to serving his community as the Executive Director of the oldest continual professional orchestra west of the Mississippi River, Nick enjoys hiking, cycling, and playing competitive ice hockey. You may also find Nick volunteering in the National Park Service, or donning a screen-used stormtrooper costume, hand-made, at charity events as a member of the 501st Legion.
Alyson Agemy, Marketing & Development Coordinator
Alyson holds a Master of Music Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies from the University of South Florida. A transplant from Tampa, FL, Alyson moved to Greeley to pursue graduate studies and a career in music. Alyson has performed in a broad spectrum of ensembles, from classical saxophone quartets to big bands, and maintains a private saxophone studio in Northern Colorado. Along with music, Alyson also enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling to new places.
Becky Kutz-Osterberg, Personnel Manager
Becky is an active freelance musician throughout Northeast Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Her orchestral performing experience includes more than 15 professional orchestras throughout the United States and she is currently Principal Cello of the Fort Collins Symphony, Principal Cello of the Greeley Philharmonic and a member of the Cheyenne Symphony. Mrs. Kutz-Osterberg is also the Orchestra Librarian for the Fort Collins Symphony. When she is not performing or teaching she is often found enjoying the outdoors – some of her favorite activities include hiking, biking, archery and enjoying time with her husband, friends and family.
Allyson Fleck, Music Librarian
Allyson is currently Greeley Philharmonic Principal Viola and Co-Librarian. In addition, she is Midsummer’s Music Festival (Wisconsin) Assistant Artistic Director and Violist. In 2015, Allyson moved from Georgia to Northern Colorado and is active in the freelance community, where she serves as Assistant Principal Viola in the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra and is orchestra manager and section viola member of the Cheyenne Symphony. Additionally, Allyson subs with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Colorado Symphony, and Boulder Philharmonic. She also teaches at the Rocky Ridge Music Center.
While in Georgia, Allyson taught at Kennesaw State University (Atlanta) where she directed the chamber music program and taught studio viola. She played in the Atlanta Ballet and Opera orchestras and was a substitute with the Atlanta Symphony. Allyson also performed with the Emory Chamber players and Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Festival.
Allyson received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Viola Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. In Wisconsin, she was a member of the Madison Symphony and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestras. Ms. Fleck was Assistant Professor of Music at Beloit College and on the faculty at Ripon College. She was also a guest at the Token Creek Music Festival where she performed with John Harbison, and was a guest artist at the Madeline Island Chamber Music Festival.
Performances include a recital at Carnegie’s Weill Hall in New York performing Berio’s Folk Songs, performing the Telemann Concerto in G Major and Hindemith’s Trauermusik with the Novgorod String Orchestra in Russia, and Bartok’s Concerto for Viola with the Ripon College Orchestra. Allyson has performed as soloist with the KSU Symphony Orchestra and the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra.
