Greeley, CO – The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (GPO) announces its 109th concert season entitled Frontiers: Discovering Land, Sea, Sky, Space, and Beyond. Sponsored by UCHealth, the GPO is the region’s premier professional orchestra committed to presenting the highest-quality live symphonic performances to Northern Colorado.

Frontiers will take audiences on a thrilling adventure to the coldest, darkest reaches of our oceans, explore the sounds of our galaxy, avoid the vicious appetites of dinosaurs, and everything in between. “The GPO is blending classical masterpieces with modern popular music, from country western to film scores. There will be a musical selection for every audience member through our efforts to entertain, educate, and engage our concertgoers,” Nick Kenny, Executive Director, reports. “Our concerts are for everyone – come dressed up for a night out or relax in jeans and a t-shirt after a long week of work.”

Frontiers showcases two music director finalists, Mr. Adam Flatt and Mr. Scott O’Neil, who will each conduct two concerts during the 2019-20 concert season. Additional guest conductors include Mr. Nicholas Gilmore (Poinsettia Pops), Dr. Ken Singleton (Christmas Brass), and Dr. Galen Darrough (Bon Voyage: The Season Finale).

The GPO is thrilled to present a season that will showcase the talent of our musicians and special guest soloists, including world-class saxophonist Andrew Dahlke (Journey Through Land and Sky) and critically acclaimed singer Jim Curry (performing the music of John Denver). Additional concerts include blockbuster film Jurassic World in Concert, a collaborative effort with the Union Colony Civic Center (UCCC) and Shrek: The Musical, a three-way collaboration between the GPO, Stampede Troupe, and UCCC.

The 2019-20 Season is generously sponsored by UCHealth, with additional support by Tower 56 Distilling and Ehrlich Toyota. Information for season tickets and pricing may be found at  greeleyphil.org or by calling 970-356-5000.
